Welcome To The Phan Cave

I’m baaaaaaaaacccccccckkkkkkk…For those who do not know me, my name is Keith Walsh most people just call me Walsh so that’s what i’ll be going by. I’ve been in the content game for about 5-6 years at this point.

Most of you know my work from Branded Sports(RIP) and from Life of A Philly Fan. On those sites I provided content from blogs to podcast, to wing reviews, and anything else in between. I even dabbled in the MMA game(Shoutout Chavy and Mac from Branded MMA back in the day).

I’ve always been a hockey guy so most of my previous content has been focused on the Philadelphia Flyers and the rest of the NHL and let me tell ya thats not changing anytime soon. But for this i’ve decided to try and expand my pallet and create more content about all of Philadelphia sports instead of mainly just the Flyers.

I’ve been a four for four guy my entire life but don’t get me wrong there is an order in which I care for the four teams..

1b-Eagles

3-Phillies

4-Every other sport team I root for(Notre Dame, Lehigh Valley Phantoms, My Fantasy Teams, Team USA in any sport, just some examples)

5-Sixers

Sorry NBA/Sixers fans, its just never been a top sport for me but I am going to make a promise to those reading this right now..I will do my best to give the Sixers equal coverage as I do to everything else. If I do not do that please leave me all the nasty comments you want and I “Promise” I will read them and take them personally.

Why are you doing this?

Great question, the reason I’m doing this and fully committing to this now is because I have a lot of free time on my hands and while I do enjoy my current job it’s not my dream job. Is doing this going to land me that dream job that i’ve been hoping my entire life? Probably not, but fuck it why not get back into doing something I genuinely enjoy.

I’m also doing this for the people like myself out there who are tired of Philly sports radio/media and all of these bullshit fake “Insiders” who just post shit for clicks. When I post my content it’s going to be genuine with realistic scenarios or quality sources to back up what I am posting. I’m not an insider or someone that is fully in the know so you’re going to be getting my raw, unfiltered opinions on anything and everything I feel like.

Why should you care?

I want to make this perfectly clear from the start…I do not give a single fuck if you care about my content. Obviously if you enjoy it, I appreciate the support in any way that you feel like supporting, genuinely I do. But the bottom line is I’m not doing any of this for anyone other than myself. So if you don’t like what I post or my opinions on topics great, thanks for the view anyway. But, if you do enjoy what I am writing or talking about then please comment, like, share, support in anyway that you’d like to.

What to expect?

My goal is to post at least 1 blog a day and at least one episode of the podcast per week. I am still ironing out all of the podcast stuff so I am not sure when the first episode will be but it’ll be sooner rather than later.

If you’re new to my writing you’re getting a prime example in this post about my style. Is it for everyone? No, it’s not. It’s real and unfiltered and I don’t know why you would want anything other than that.

So bottom line if you’re interested in following along with what I have to say, come along for the journey. If you’re not? Thats also great, continue consuming the content you already do. I am going to be here posting whether it’s for 1 person or 1000 people. When you come to this site there is going to be content.
