The quest to repeat starts now. We finally have the full schedule for the Birds 2025 season.
Obviously, we all knew about the opening game against the Dallas Cowboys. We also knew about week 16 against the Commanders, the Monday Night Packers game and the Black Friday game against the Bears.
Which brings me to my first point, the NFL schedule release show is so fucking pointless. Everything gets leaked before the show even happens so they need to stop selling it like it’s the actual reveal because we all know that it’s not.
Anyway, let’s take a look at the full schedule for your reigning, defending, UNDISPUTED, SUPER BOWL CHAMPION PHILADELPHIA EAGLES.
The Birds have the 4th toughest schedule going into the season which was expected since ya know they won the Super Bowl. I don’t love the idea of those last three games though. In DC, then going to Buffalo in the winter just to come back home to the Commies again. Not gonna be easy by any means. Fingers crossed we’ve got the division and 1 seed locked up by then so those games don’t really matter too much.
It’ll be real fun getting to kick Patrick Mahomes ass again so soon into the new season with that week 2 matchup.
We also get 7 primetime games this year which again very common for the team that wins the Super Bowl to be featured in primetime.
Regardless, as I’m still riding the high from the previously mentioned Super Bowl win…I see a perfect 17-0 record when I look at this schedule.
Just kidding…Or am I?
But seriously, this won’t be a cakewalk by any means for the Birds. They’ve got the target on their back but I’m still confident they should be anywhere between an 11-13 win team.
Anything less then that wouldn’t be ideal, but they will be a Super Bowl contending team once again. They’ve got too many weapons to not be so as long as they stay healthy, we should be in for another long exciting Eagles season.
