One of the hot topics on Philadelphia X(Twitter)right now is the Philadelphia Flyers playoff run. Also, the supposed “gatekeeping” that is going on with Flyers fans.
For the first time since COVID the Philadelphia Flyers are on the verge of making the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Obviously, this has caused people to jump on the bandwagon and start rooting and talking about them again.
This seemed to be the start of the whole “gatekeeping” discourse. Since this tweet my feed has been filled with people complaining that the Flyers fans don’t want people hopping on the bandwagon. That’s just not true, we want more people to enjoy this ride the Flyers are on. We want the Flyers to become an important topic in Philadelphia again because it has been too long.
Personally I don’t give two shits about sportsradio in Philadelphia especially 94WIP. This is exactly what they do when they aren’t busy putting out Jalen Hurts hit pieces. They don’t talk about the Flyers all season long and then when they are relevant again, the mouthpieces start to act like they know everything about the team and hockey in general.
When you have Hugh fucking Douglas trying to talk about hockey I can’t take you seriously. You want to hop on the bandwagon Hugh? Great, welcome aboard but I don’t need you to be talking about them. Be a fan but don’t act like you guys know what you’re talking about or that you’ve been here in the trenches with us fans when we were stuck watching Chris VandeVelde play 15 minutes a night under he who shall not be named(Dave Hakstol for all you new people).
This is the type of weird shit that WIP does. FUCK ESP first and foremost, dudes one of the biggest clowns around. You want to promote people to follow for fans that are hoping on the bandwagon? Fine, but maybe let’s give shoutouts to the beat writers that have been here covering these teams or accounts that actually do know hockey.

ESP telling people to follow Brodes who is annoying as fuck and all he does is scream is laughable. I’ll give him credit that he does follow the team and talks about them but he is over the top annoying.
This is the other issue that fans have with WIP, after the whole gatekeeping thing became a hot topic they tried to play the victim. Then you have ESP out here tweeting this bullshit like he’s watched more than 5 minutes of a game all season long. Get the fuck out of here with this, stick to football you clown.
The three tweets above explain everything perfectly. So if you want to hop on the Flyers bandwagon please do we welcome you with open arms and hope you enjoy the ride. Unless you’re one of these 94WIP clowns then you can fuck right off and stick to trying to run our franchise QB out of town because you’re a bunch of idiots.
