The Phillies Can Simply Not Let Kyle Schwarber Walk

Okay, yes I know yesterday I was in almost full blown panic mode but can you blame me after those three bullshit games against the Mets?!?

First things first, I still am a little concerned about this team come October. But I don’t care what happens, Kyle Schwarber can not leave Philadelphia.

This might be a hot take, but honestly if the Phillies don’t win the World Series I’d be fully on board with them trading Bryce Harper or Trea Turner in order to keep Schwarber.

Schwarber has carried this team all season long and should win the NL MVP. Re-sign him and you have the best DH in baseball and can build more pieces around him. Yes, I’m perfectly fine building the team around a DH because he is the best damn DH in all of baseball.

4 Home runs in one game? 4 HOME RUNS IN ONE GAME?!?! Are you kidding me Kyle!!! Just absolutely insane stuff from this guy last night.

Last night was typical Phillies though, 3 games in a row where the bats kind of went cold and then they exploded for 19 runs. I get it baseball is a game of ups and downs but man when this lineup struggles it’s so defeating. Then you have a game like last night and they pull you all the way back in.

Hopefully they are able to keep this momentum going into the weekend and can take care of the Braves with ease.
